For over 140 years, we have been supplying the UK with high quality garden products from our factory based in Nottinghamshire. We are proud to have a team of over 200 dedicated professionals who share our culture and passion for quality. From our craftsmanship, materials and outstanding service we continue to elevate ourselves as one of the industry's leading, largest and longest running manufacturers of garden buildings. Today, we design, manufacture and deliver over 100,000 wooden buildings every year, on behalf of the UK's largest DIY and high street stores, as well as online specialists.

We are big believers of British craftsmanship and that's why we manufacture every one of our wooden buildings here in the UK. By doing this, we are able to continuously develop our ideas and improve our products to meet our ever growing high standards. It also allows us to easily check the quality of every single product that comes out of our factory, reduces the carbon footprint from importing and ensures we can deliver our products quickly and efficiently, all around the UK.

We source high grade materials, quality fixtures and fittings and perform rigorous quality checks at every stage of the process to ensure every customer receives a high quality product that exceeds their expectations. Our commitment doesn't stop there, we listen and review all customer feedback to help us to continuously improve our industry leading products.
Safety Is Paramount
At Mercia, the safety of our customers is always at the forefront of our design process. Our playhouse range in particular boasts numerous safety features including; ventilation holes, finger gaps around the doors and rounded timbers to name a few. All of our playhouses have been independently tested to ensure they comply with and exceed the latest EN-71 regulations and are fully UKCA marked, to ensure they are safe for children to enjoy every day.
Ethically Sourced Materials
We pride ourselves upon our commitments in place to protect the environment in any way we can, we therefore only use certified timber on all of our wooden products. We use FSC® certified timber to ensure that it can be traced back to well managed forests in accordance to the rules of The Forest Stewardship Council®. We have also achieved The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest certification. PEFC work throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber is produced with the highest ecological, social and ethical standards.
