Mercia Garden Products LTD have launched a new business division, MGP Logistics, in order to focus solely on providing a professional and reliable delivery service solution for the garden industry.
Our objectives here at Mercia include; achieving the market’s leading suite of service options and lead times, the highest levels of control, the highest delivered quality levels, and a professional service at a lower cost.
The new division will be headed by the supply chain director David Berry, who will closely manage drivers and installation team, covering approximately 50% of the delivery requirements.
Deliveries are planned using the latest computer software packages, and are directly linked to Mercia's ordering system, providing the best choice of delivery dates and times to best suit our customers.
“MGP Logistics are responsible for delivering customer’s order WHEN customers are available and not when it best suits us”, David went on to say, “We have a commitment to our customers, that they will be given a choice of delivery dates within the first 48 hours of Mercia receiving the order”
Drivers are equipped with handheld PDAs, keeping them in constant contact with the office regarding delivery status. This allows us to give our customers the most up-to-date status on their deliveries.
